This week we pray for
At the very heart of the ecumenical movement is the reality of prayer. Jesus prayed that we may all be one, united in God in the mystery of the Trinity. That is the basis and the goal of our search for unity. The Ecumenical Prayer Cycle enables us to journey in prayer through every region of the world and through every week of the year affirming our solidarity with Christians all over the world, brothers and sisters living in diverse situations, experiencing diverse problems and sharing diverse gifts. Lord, hear our prayer ...
Take a P This Week Here is a great reflection on prayer by Jack Levison
We have been trying a variety of methods of prayer in worship. No one can argue that they do not have time for the one minute retreat - it can be done when getting up in the morning, during a break any time of day, or just before bed. The three minute retreat is designed to be used at your computer. Each daily devotional includes music, scripture and questions for prayer. Pray as You Go is a daily podcast that you can download if you wish, or listen to on your computer. It also features music, scripture and led meditation - taking a bit more time to listen to the word of God twice, and give you time for reflection and prayer. Prayer Letter Ministry
We believe that God hears us when we pray. An important part of our ministry is presenting situations of pain, grief and struggle before the One who can make all things right. Every Sunday we sign a series of letters and send them out to people who have asked for our prayers. Recipients of this ministry keep us updated on their situation and have sent back testimony to the healing work of God in their lives. If you would like to become a recipient please fill out the form. Use the comment area to tell us a bit about your situation.
Soul Friends: Holy Listening is a prayer group for people seeking discernment for their lives. Participants will learn to listen to one another, and to God's leading.
